Scrolling on Touch Devices Fix We fixed an issue where it was not possible to scroll through the art library on touch devices for some users.

Light Plywood is coming to the Glowforge Shop

Later this week, we’re going to start offering Light Plywood. It has the same outer hardwood layer and semi-gloss coating, the same price, and comes in the same species as Medium and Thick Plywood but there are a few things that make it stand apart.

Compared to Medium Plywood, Light Plywood:

• Is half the weight
• Is slightly thinner at 0.12”
• And the best part is… it cuts about twice as fast!

New firmware

We have an update to the firmware that will be automatically applied the next time you turn on your printer. This update doesn’t change anything now, but will help us prepare for future improvements.

Catalog Design Updates

Starting this week, you’ll be eligible for free updates and improvements to catalog designs you own. Sometimes, your feedback helps us make catalog designs easier and better to print and assemble. When you open one of those designs from your dashboard, you’ll see this message offering to update the design.

Faster File Upload

Drag, drop, print - now faster than before! We’ve made improvements to the way we upload and process your files that will streamline your creativity.

Custom Settings Fix We fixed an issue where the settings for a step sometimes did not display correctly after you edit custom settings.

Reorder your print steps on touch devices

We’ve made it easier to reorder your print steps when you’re designing from your touch device. On your touch screen, you can now long press and drag your print steps to reorder them.

For premium members: Edit in Group is now available in Early Access

To make it easier to manage artwork that you’ve grouped, we’ve added an easy way to edit object directly. This means that, when you are looking at a grouped piece of art, you can use Edit in Group to make fine adjustments to your work without having to ungroup everything.

For premium members: Text like a Pro We’ve got something new for Glowforge Premium members who love and customizing their prints with personal text. We’ve revamped the text interface to make it faster to find the perfect font for your project. Now, the fonts are in categories to make it easier to choose a font that fits your project. And you can heart a font to save it in your favorites! Plus a category to see the most popular fonts to help inspire your latest creation.

More design control in the Glowforge App All Glowforge users now have access to two new features that make it easier to design in the Glowforge app!

• Use Grouping to move and resize objects together, while keeping their arrangement and spacing consistent.
• Use Ungroup to remove all groups from your selection. That includes ungrouping items that were grouped automatically when you imported them!
• Use Paste as a new step to paste as a new print step. This makes it easy to make versions of your art with different settings.
