While we can't all trek to California's Sierra Nevada mountains whenever we need a dose of forest bathing, Kate Hickman has found a way to capture that majestic forest feeling in a stunning piece of layered art.

Kate's layered art piece captures the depth and dimension of a sequoia forest through cleverly designed layers of plywood. Each layer is carefully scored and painted to create subtle shadows and highlights, building a scene that seems to extend forever into the misty distance. The cherry plywood frame, also crafted with Glowforge, adds the perfect finishing touch to this window into the wilderness.
