Inspired by Averly’s little contest I realized I’d never made a post about this!

Back in February of 2020 I had a massage therapist friend who was heading to a steampunk convention and wanted something to display his business cards that would also be thematic. So I built him a little top hat in a carry case.

The brim of the hat has a living hinge on the edge that allows it to curve slightly, and then the veneer was placed over it curved to keep it that way. The top and bottom are draftboard, and the living hinge sides plywood. It’s lined with adhesive craft foam. The leather I already had, but used the :glowforge: to cut. The whole thing was over-sprayed with Rustoleum Rippled Effect clear paint.

If the box looks somehow familiar, it started as @marmak3261 roll stamp box
