2022 Lunar New Year of the Tiger

Bay Area, CAJoined Wed Dec 09 2015A friend posted a piece of art in celebration of the Lunar New Year, and I thought it was gorgeous!
It was really low pixel count, and obvi one sided.

It inspired me to make this:
Made on a scrap piece of mahogany, finished with tung oil. The settings are all for PG basswood ply, except on the SD graphic engrave I sped it up by 100 so it wasn’t quite as deep. The strap is a scrap piece of red leather I had hanging about, and the ring is a 1/2' I’ve got a pile of. The tiger head is just about 2' square
If I can find the artist and get permission I’ll share the file, but enjoy the art either way
