Credit & Debit Cards

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and more for fast, easy, and secure payment. As soon as you complete your payment, your Glowforge shipment starts. To process your credit card quickly and securely, we partner with Stripe, a PCI Compliance Level 1 certified payment processor used by Amazon, Target, Lyft, and many others.


PayPal makes it easy to shop online. You can securely pay for your Glowforge via PayPal at

Two Credit Cards

If you’d like to split your payment across two credit cards, you can do that by arranging payment with PayPal. You do not need to have a PayPal account! Just send an email to including the following information:

  1. Glowforge Plus, Pro or Aura (and how many, if you want more than one!)
  2. Whether you’d like a Compact Filter
  3. Your shipping address
  4. The email address of your PayPal account (optional)

We’ll send you a link to a PayPal invoice. As soon as we receive payment, we’ll ship your Glowforge.

Monthly Payments

For those who would like to finance their Glowforge with low monthly payments, we’ve partnered with the most customer-friendly financing partner around: Affirm. This option is especially popular for customers who will be selling some of what they print, because it allows them to use their Glowforge to pay for itself!

Monthly payments are available for US customers ordering products that are not backordered. To see if Affirm determines that you are eligible:

  1. Go to Printers Shop and choose what you’d like to purchase. If you include an item in your purchase that is backordered, monthly payments will not be available.
  2. Add your contact & shipping information in Checkout.
  3. In the Payments form, choose "Affirm - Pay over time" and click "Complete checkout"
  4. Finish checking out on Affirm's website.

Your monthly payments are set by Affirm. They determine the payment based on the amount of your purchase, as well as the length of the loan. APR rates range from 0-36%. Once you see the payments, you'll have the option to complete your purchase.

Purchase Order

We’d be happy to help you use a purchase order to help your business or school in the United States buy a Glowforge. We can accept POs for Glowforge Plus and Glowforge Pro units and the Compact Filter. We’re also happy to accept Purchase Orders for Proofgrade™ material orders over $500.

Check or Wire Transfer

If you would like to pay with a check or wire transfer, please send an email to including the following information:

  1. Glowforge Plus, Pro or Aura (and how many, if you want more than one!)
  2. Whether you’d like a Compact Filter
  3. Your shipping address

We’ll review your request and reply with a pricing confirmation and how to send your payment.

Placing a Tax Exempt Order

To check out on without tax, you’ll first need to create an account. You can check out with PayPal, credit card, or purchase order.

Once you create your account, just email with the following info:

  1. Email address used to create your account
  2. Your school, district, or organization name
  3. A copy of your Tax Exemption Certificate

If you plan to make a purchase with a purchase order, and do not want to use the online account option, you can email a copy of your order and Tax Exemption Certificate to

To fill out all of the correct paperwork on our end, we always need the full copy of your Tax Exemption Certificate on file. We can’t accept a Tax Exemption ID Number alone (without the certificate) as proof of your Tax Exempt Status.
