Install the Crumb Tray

The big, flat, black metal piece in the other box is your Crumb Tray. It sits inside your Glowforge and makes sure your material is at the perfect height.

Save everything! If you ever need to ship your Glowforge for service, you’ll need all the original parts: boxes, handle locks, foam, and important orange and red bits. Store them safely; replacement packing materials are $249.

1

If not already open, lift your Glowforge’s lid and lower the front door.

2

Gently push the laser arm all the way back.

3

On the bottom of the print bed, find the 4 rectangular divots and make sure they’re clear of any debris. Your Crumb Tray will slot into these.

4

Orient the Crumb Tray so that the black mesh is facing up. Rotate it so the curved handle is facing you.

5

Slide the Crumb Tray into your Glowforge, making sure that the handle is towards the front of the machine and the flat black part is in the back.

6

Slide the tray side to side and back and forth until you feel the feet settle into the divots at the bottom of the Crumb Tray.
