Exhaust

1

Connect your vent hose to the back of your printer by sliding the rubber ring over the lip of the exhaust port as far as it will go. It’ll be a snug fit.

With the Glowforge Personal Filter...

2

Lift the lid of your Glowforge Personal Filter. (It’s held down with magnets)

3

Remove the filter cartridge and remove it from the plastic bag.

4

Remove the two pieces of foam and the desiccant packet.

5

Push the rubber ring on the other end of your vent hose snugly onto the plastic lip on top of the filter.

6

Connect the power cord to the back of the filter and plug it into an available outlet. Note: there’s no power switch on your Personal Filter — it turns on and off automatically!

If venting through a window...

Place the end of the hose through an open window. Keep the hose as straight as possible, with no more than two 90 degree turns.

Make sure your safety equipment meets requirements:

Fire Safety

and

Smoke and Fume Safety

Finally, connect the power cord to the back of your Glowforge, then plug it in to turn it on. Keep your Glowforge plugged in—it’ll automatically go to sleep after 30 minutes of inactivity, and wake up if you lift the lid or press the button.
