Why We Need You
You would not believe the incredible innovations packed inside the Glowforge! It is a magnificent blend of technologies working together in harmony. However, products do not always work the way they are intended to and sometimes do fail. We need a champion like you to come in to be an integral part of our failure analysis lab and help perform root cause analysis. Without you playing this critical role, our amazing products will have no chance of further improvement.
Here’s what you’ll be doing
You’re going to partner with our engineering and physics teams in analyzing failures, looking at the data, determining root cause and recommending corrective action. You will partner closely with your colleagues in manufacturing engineering, supplier quality, and follow up on implementation of corrective actions. Your work will directly contribute to a reduction in failure rates, delighting both our current and future customers.
Data is key and you will find that data by reviewing and analyzing sources like customer complaints, field failure reports, posts on Glowforge community and machine data to detect failure trends.
Your leadership will be on full display as you train, mentor and coach other team members by leading a methodical, systematic failure analysis process.
You will synthesize vast amounts of information in order to provide the structure and clarity needed to allow the technicians and engineers to focus on the most important technical problems.
In the end, your Early Warning System will catch issues early and your findings will be folded into our new products which will mean our current products and future products will greatly benefit from your expertise!
